So I've not really posted before but I've lurked and enjoyed the various beta stages. I'm finally clicking in to the game now it's released and have been trying to find the best way to control the game. I've tried gamepad, keyboard and mouse as well as my old Logitech 3D Extreme Pro (that has been gathering dust in the years between decent space sims).
I just recently got a new job that comes with a tidy raise and decided I'm going to treat myself, being a backer of Elite and SC I've decided the old Logitech doesn't cut it and the other controls are even worse. Given this new job I've decided I will splurge. Now, I've been looking at the options and it looks like the two prime contendors are the X52 Pro and the Warthog. I was wondering the feedback people had on both of those control setups. I read over at Ars Technica an article where the author didn't need to lift his hands from the stick or throtle for anything with the Warthog. Is there enough flexibility on the X52 Pro to do the same? How do the controls stack up? I've been out of this space of the video game world for so long I'm really uninformed so any suggestions would be REALLY appreciated.
