Actually I think that people will be more friendly but are always hovering over the accelerator or guns or both. The first thing people will check is the other persons rating/bounty and then ship size and probably ask "what are you doing here ?" Maybe give info like "I have an empty cargo hold as I am transporting a parcel" since you do not want to say that you are a pirate as they may fire on you, or a bounty hunter as they may have a bounty, or a trader with a full hold as they may turn to piracy.
