What small quality of life things would you like to see in upcoming patches?

We know whats coming for 3.0 and some hints about the big Q4 patch but there are two other smaller patches in between. What small tweaks or additions would you like to see implemented in the two other patches this year?

For me these would be fantastic:
  • Map filter for reputation
  • Allow multiple map filters (so I can choose faction, state and economy)
  • Range in right hand display contacts tab
  • Contacts tab filters so I can hide materials or cargo when fighting
  • Stored modules grouped by station, with transfer all button
  • Hide powerplay 'Hostile' warning when not doing powerplay tasks and thus not subject to powerplay dangers

I would like to be able to set my throttle in the blue zone and be able to approach planets or stations without overshooting them. I am being serious. I cannot for the life of me understand how the FSD computer cannot figure out how to control its speed around gravity wells. It seems gamey to me. For example. Lock on to an FSD wake and approach it in super cruise, set your speed so that it begins overshooting the approach, then deselect the FSD wake. You will instantly stabilize your speed.

Not sure about the last one; powerplay isn't a light-switch, if you are aligned, that's it, you are aligned. It doesn't stop being the case simply because you're not directly enacting; but I digress. I'm all for more filters though.

I'd like a toggle for each material/ data type. Not sure how practical that is though; would make it easier to remove irrelevant material or data types depending on what one is doing, however.

Tell you a secret, if you are about to overshoot a station or (orbital) outpost, throttle to zero, deselect the target and you will almost instantly decelerate. You can then re-target and resume an approach. Unlike planets, stations and outposts have gravity that's purely based on relative approach speed. Deselecting the target removes the influence, ergo you can decelerate and accelerate relative to the only other influence, which will be the planetary object the outpost or station is orbiting.

You're welcome.

I understand its active at all times and the hostile tag is probably meaningful in open but in solo/private groups it's pretty pointless when you're not carrying goods or have bounties as the npcs just leave you alone. The current bright red warning keeps making me think I'm wanted :D It's bright and obvious..and also meaningless to me 99.99% of the time :D

Add 'buy all/sell all' buttons to the market screen so I don't have to hold down + and - .

Oh good catch, I'd forgotten to put that on my list too!

Woah... This is like learning that deploying landing gear engages no clip or exiting to menu after accidentally undocking returns your ship the the hanger. Complete game changer for QoL

Not only a buy/sell all for each item, and for when you have no commodity selected on the left, another button on the lower right that says "Sell Manifest" to dump EVERYTHING without even having to go to each individual commodity, which I think might be handy for traders and miners.

Also, to quote Yamiks, a "Cancel Launch" button, for those times when you do that particular whoopsie.
A way to keybind requesting docking permission.
A way to keybind disabling/enabling modules (turning off all shield boosters to make your shields come online faster, then bringing them all back online, for example)

I would like to be able to set my throttle in the blue zone and be able to approach planets or stations without overshooting them.

It doesn't work for planets, but if you keybind "75% throttle" (yes, you can do this in the options, I use the non-numberpad 4) and then hit that button on approach to a station, you'll be fine. Planets, not so much, but any other drop point works. (stations, USS's, Distribution Centers, Anomalies, etc.)

The ability to simply type in the amount of an item you wish to buy instead or in addition to the + -

Expand the magnetic catch mechanic on docking pads...as long as you are on the pad without insulting the station authorities about it, you're docked.

i want a key for setting throttle mode to forward, and a key to setting throttle mode to backward. My x55 doesn't have a notch in the center of the throttle and its hard to keep in the middle when flying FA Off. Toggle doesn't suit muscle memory well as i have to think about what mode im in. Id love to be able to hit the button for the direction i want and then move the throttle forwards.

Crew visible in cockpit as long as you have free seats.

Ability to edit the appearance of crew using your cosmetics.

NPC wingmen.

Ability to view all systems visited (i don't mean the current implementation, i mean a full history - due to not having logging enabled for a long time i never was able to get all systems i've visited into EDSM and now the galaxy map). Plus galaxy map filter that makes it more obvious where you have been. I understand this is all not technically trivial. Failing that, i'd be willing slip FD a tenner for a full data dump of my visited systems that i can then add to my local visited systems file.

I haven’t played the new Beta, so I’m not sure what changes are coming, but I’d like to be able to view all available blueprints from unlocked engineers at all times. The whole pinned blueprint thing seems rather pointless to me. When I first started playing, it astounded me that this wasn’t the case.

Dunno if this would help much, but under Options > Controls you can set the throttle reverse to a joystick/throttle button, and change the mode from "toggle" to "hold." Maybe remap one of the two buttons at the back of your throttle for this, and relocate its current function (I believe they're "quick chat" and "lights" by default?) to a key on the keyboard. Then you wouldn't have to worry about remembering which mode...press-and-hold=reverse, release=forward.

Two things.

1. When using a mouse to navigate the station menus, the button in a newly selected menu is not clickable if the mouse pointer is on it when that menu opens. You have to move off the button and on again before you can click it. This is annoying.

2. I want to be able to change the order of the modules in the modules tab. Or group them in to sub menus and switch whole groups on and off. Or both.
