What smartphone in Elite's world?

I'm not sure i'm getting the Elite background right... but i guess that it'd be something like:

Federation: Windows Phones
Empire: iPhones
Alliance: Android Phones (not sure about this one)

I'm getting that right? ^_^''

The Federation very much strike me as lefty liberal Apple fans. The Empire are Samsung, and the tiny little Alliance with their niche interests and lack of unique Apps, or rather Ships, are clearly WinPhone.

Alliance and independent have all the iphones and androids. Fed and Empire are old school---all they got is Ma Bell. The Alliance also has cookies ;)

Okey... I'll go with:

Empire: iPhone ('cos they worth it :p)
Federation: Windows Phones (One word: megacorporativism)
Alliance: Android/Cyanogen based (because "they are free")
Sirius Corp: Miui (obviously)
Pranav Antal: Blackberry (they still work, they look weird for the rest and they are in their own world)

We also have an iEagle :p

But I think the Apple analogy fails at the point where you realize that the imperial ships are actually useful, not just style over substance, like the trash that Apple churns out.

Hate to be that guy but I don't think there are phones atleast not off world. Commanders most likely use some type of faster than light radio.
It appears in the top left corner of your hud, comes free with your ship, and no monthly fees.

I play Empire/ Imperial, but do not like Iphones (Apple) much prefer Android, because you can use Android to do things where you can only eat apple :)

Because, its an IMPERIAL Courier, IMPERIAL Clipper, IMPERIAL Eagle. The iPhone is NOT, repeat NOT an IMPERIALPhone.

All Apple products should be put up against a wall and shot.

Whoever uses whatever I just worked out they'll be using the iPhone 493S ;)

And the bitterness this thread is provoking! Must be because Google is such and ethical, charitable institution doing nothing but good in the world :D
