what sort of jump range should i aim for to get to beagle point in my conda?

i am planning on following jaques after he heads off and scanning as i go.

I use an A2 powerplant on my own Anaconda. Keeps temperatures cool when scooping.

This. I tried scooping in my Anaconda with the D8 powerplant and it heated up almost as quickly as when you jump between two stars. I put the A6 on mine which costs 16m or so.
