What the H.. has happend to NPC

Just wondering why missions where you have to kill a pirat NPC are so freaking overpowered these days... 14 seconds on a simpel target (dangerous) And im blown up. If this is the case with NPC's these days im going back to killing goids. Its not like The mission pays me more than a few mill so I seriusly dont get this OP

They are so OP when they fly in groups of 2-4 and bassicly cant avoid their shoots in anyway. Have Devs made them absolutly overkill these days or am i just way better at fighting goids.

I'm not sure why you're struggling. I find NPC's really easy these days.

Was it a wing assassination mission perhaps? They are tougher, with an FDL as the target, and a wing of Vultures in tow - all engineered.

Are you taking the wing versions of those missions?

They come in two flavours:

1) Wing mission - go direct to target. Often a FdL with a wing of decently powerful ships - these can be nasty and you have to be able to do a lot of damage quickly, take down the target, and get out of there before you are blown up, unless you're in a very strongly shielded ship. I tend to do these in my double shot frag Krait Mk2, which has the speed to keep up with the FdL and lay down the damage quickly. Alternately i use my type 10 and tank the damage while my turreted MCs do the job.

2) Solo missions - these involve scanning a planetary hub somewhere which then reveals the location of the target. The target is usually a large ship, and relatively easy to take down. Usually not in a wing either.

npc were were made stronger by request of other players,i noticed it afterwards and had to re-engineer my pve python, but they can still be beaten just may take a little longer, post just droppen in took the words out my mouth i was going to say lol

I had to kill the FDL, I also tried waiting for it to be alone but it still pulled in 3 vultures and yes I think they where engineered more than me atleast. my fully enginered shield and hul whent down in exacctly 14 seconds. By the looks of diffecult the mission should be fairly simple. and the target was only Dangerous but as soon as I fired one shoot i was torn to pieces in seconds

I will just go back to killing goids tho they are tuff they are easier than the NPC's atm atleast for me

Thats a mission designed for a wing. All those ships are engineered and are some of the toughest in the game. Should be easily doable in an engineered medium combat ship though.

And just how the hell are you suppose to see that? The mission only says one target and only treat 2. I have never experienced getting hammered in such short time before..

The missions you accept are actually designed for squadrons, i.e. 4 players against 4 NPCs. That alone is ambitious. Accept missions for single players and everything will be fine.

Usually they say threat 8, and they have a wing symbol on the mission, its a yellow circle with three yellow dots around it. I do these missions in my engineered Vulture if I feel like a challenge. If I'm feeling lazy I'll just obliterate the FDL with my Python mk2.

take solo assissination mission only one target, but probaly a vette, but easy beaten in a pyhon if you have done youre engineering, trying with a basic ship is pretty near a death wish.

As I said this was marked as a treat 2 not a treat 8
Thing is, I've never heard of a threat 2 combat mission ever throw up a bug (which is what this would have to be) where wing mission enemies spawn, which is going to be your issue here.

If you can take down a Thargoid, then it's certainly not combat skill, and I have done plenty of recent combat gameplay to suggest to me that nothing has changed in years.

From an outside point of view, unfortunately it seems that either you've come across a bug which no-one else ever has, or you inadvertently took on a wing mission by mistake.

I wish there would be some new options for more challenging PvE.
Even a Haz RES poses no threat flying alone when you have enough experience and an engineered ship.
Assassination missions can be real challenging, but no CG / story driven events make use of that AFAIK.

take a wing mission on youre own,it can be a challenge, otherwise take a solo assinate 15 pirates but put some cargo on youre ship, drop in the target zone and see how you get on or dont, they will rip you to bits if you dont get out,its a challenge try it, go get em cmdr.

You mean, the wing Kill Pirates mission? Never found them ja set than the usual one (with the red skull, 30 kills for 40 millions).
Wing assassination missions is what poses a real challenge.

As for having some cargo to get all the nearby pirate attack you...well, it's like goong from easy difficulty to insane (like in a signal source containing 8-10 pirates, it is just too much).
What I do it "tag" multiple targets rather than taking them one by one...but that feels artificial.

Add an "Extreme" Haz RES, which contains only wings of 2-4 deadly/elite pirates, and now we are talking.
Or add a probability that the nearby pirates would join the fight if you attack their fellows, maybe?
