As per the title, I assume each cycle ends on a Friday, but can anyone (dev preferred) please confirm what time the current cycle ends and the new one begins (British Summer Time)?

Explain 'cycle' for the non devs amongst us?
They didn't say in the manual:
"Powerplay runs in cycles, each one lasting a continuous week in real-time.
A cycle represents the amount of time it takes for powers to take significant actions. At the end of each cycle, all actions started within it are resolved and the power’s CC reserve for the next cycle is computed."
I would guess its early Monday morning since weekends see the most number of players.

All of the Powerplay expansion activities say they have 4 days remaining, which implies the deadline is any time between early Thursday evening and early Friday evening. 1.3 dropped at 15:30 BST and was generally up and running at about 20:00, so my guess is somewhere around that time, however that's a pretty broad range, and should be clarified with more precision

this makes a lot of sense. But why didn´t they say that openly then?
At a guess, they've been working right up until Friday to make sure 1.3 was ready, and didn't want to risk putting out an announcement that it would be Friday and then end up not quite being ready on the day. Still needs clarification on the cycle end deadline though, since 7am, 3:30pm and 8ish pm all seem plausible candidates
It says 3 days right now.
Not sure when it changed from 4, but maybe you can use that as an indication.

From what I've read it just bumps up the preparation value of that system.
No idea by how much, but I don't think you have a specific time that you need to place your vote by, but obviously voting early would be more helpful to get things started.
