Speaking as a beta backer, i think you should all stop have fun right now!

I cannot deny the fun factor is very high. The main point is testing the environment with so many players attempting to interact within the same instance. For weeks we have been battling in dribs and drabs. I think stepping up to the next level is a natural progression and something we should certainly explore and examine. The problem right now is the instancing where players don´t always see the same NPCs and other players as everybody else. This can have an adverse effect, obviously, on gameplay and the fun factor.

I´d ask all of you to consider joining alpha. If you can afford it do it. The more people getting involved the better. Being part of something of this magnitude is a great feeling. It´s also a great deal of fun as well. ED offers an experience no other software can match right now.

Whatever time you have it, I would appreciate it if a few of you could put a video of it on youtube so that we beta folk can compare the same battle from different viewpoints.

You can have tactical scenarios played out to see what might work like one player trying to escape a group of pirates that are after him so has to hide behind asteroids and possibly take them out one at a time - a sort of hide and seek game or just do a free-for-all or have two battlelines of ships ready to attack eachother in a similar way to traditional battlefields. Or you can have a game of capture the flag where one team tries to protect a canister while the other team tries to scoop it up.
