What to buy in 1.3... Mining/BH ASP or Courier?

So I've got around 13 million to spend come 1.3 and I'm really torn as to what to spend the money on!

I'm deciding between setting up an ASP for Bounty Hunting & Mining, or the Courier which looks & sounds so nice but can only really do Missions & Bounty Hunting.

What do the people of the forum think? Your advices would be well received!

Also as an aside question, is there anywhere where you can buy the ASP at a discount at the moment? (except Founders as I'm not part of that club)

This would be ok wouldn't it? Hardly 30 million... There's room to improve the shields as well.

If I can get it at a discount it'll free up a decent amount of cash as well

Base price of the Asp is about 6 mil, and a 5A shield generator/power plant is 5.5 million each. Based on your price point, you would probably be able to get most of it outfitted with C class equipment and still have some wiggle room and enough to cover the rebuy cost.

Alioth has 20% reduction on Asp.
It requires a permit, which is easy to get, do a few missions for "Alioth Independents" faction in the neighboring systems.

I said nothing about exploring - the correct name for the ship is "ASP Explorer" if K-Rose plays in open play I would think about a better build. Mining K-Rose may get by with 13M. As for BH I would put more in the ship as a safety factor.

Thanks for the input guys, think I may choose this over the Courier just for money making qualities tbh!

You should do fine. You will really like the amount you can 'tank' up the ASP Explorer. Fly safe and good luck o7
