What to do when you are out of fuel for now?

Hi, so, recently I ran out of fuel in a deserted system (one that does not have any stations) and I had no clew what to do what so ever, no one was there that I saw, but I had a very impotent cargo (yes I know a noob's mistake but I only bought the game 4 days ago)

so my friend told me that there used to be a beacon system that you could have pressed and an npc would come to sell you fuel or something like that, but it was taken out due to exploits, I would like to know if the dev's having any idea on how to bring it back in the future, I understand that you could have a thing that could charge your ship with the sun, but honestly, if I needed the extra cargo place (or I didn't took it for account, not enough money etc) , and if I got into that situation I wouldn't mind paying even 2 times or 3 times the price of fuel and not lose all of my items due to self destruct, I could see why people will disagree with me, but I think it will be a nice feature.

I could understand my stupidity, but I am not mad, I've learned from my mistake, to take a look at the star that I am going

I basically had a few items that I found floating that looked like they could be worth something and a black box from a quest I took.

For what it's worth I lost an anaconda today. The re-buy was 8.6 million and the cargo was worth 4 million. I ran out of fuel because I forgot to properly scout the distance and do the math... I also had not fitted a cargo scoop because I was greeedy and wanted to maximise cargo space.

Lesson learned (never fly without a fuel scoop)
