what to do with planetary suit?

So its cool that FD gave us a planetary suit. However, its gonna gonna be awhile before i get horizons. So at the moment its taking up a slot in my hauler. So i have a couple questions. Can i store it somehow? If i get rid of it, how much is it to buy again? I could really use the extra slot. Ive only got one 8 cargo rack, a fuel scoop and basic discovery scanner. Im a trader so i could use another slot for 8 cargo space. I just have no idea what to do with it.

You can't take it of/remove it or anything. It doesn't take any space on your ship. They added that slot as extra slot to every ship for that planetary suit. So it doesn't take any slots or space away from your ship.

Oh, ok. Well thats cool... I wish the hauler had another slot then lmao. I have to pick between a fuel scoop and a cargo rack and im taking the scoop, lmao. I would get rid of the scanner but crazy thing is. Im a trade but yet my exploration has gone up three times as fast as my trading.

Exploration and Combat are not directly related to your ship and do not scale. Space trucking is and does. You need to increase the amount of cargo you can transport to advance in trade at a meaningful pace.

And i get that, its a beginner ship. I was just expectin one more slot then the sidey. Correct me if im wrong but it has the same amount of optional slots

If you want a Hauler with more internal space, buy an Adder. ;)
And eventually Cobra, of course.

Really, ouch. I bought the hauler over the adder. I liked the look alot more and always hear people saying to hit hauler second. Hm... What to do what to do

You cannot land on planets without it, and it is free and takes no space. There's nothing else that can go in that slot. Might as well keep it.
