So I'll admit that I have a list as long as my arm, of things I am *hoping* will turn up in the 2.2 Update. We already know that Ship-launched fighters, NPC Crew (Fighter Pilots only), Passenger missions, Module Storage and Transport, proper planetary geology, proper Neutron stars and White Dwarf stars, new main-game assets (ported from CQC) and new station interiors are all going to be in. However, I'm curious as to which features-stuff they haven't actually mentioned yet-do you still hope will make its way into the 2.2 update?
To limit my own list to three-in no particular order-I'd definitely have to say:
1. Further expansion of ways to obtain missions that are not tied to the mission board (via salvage, passengers, accessing Private Data Beacons and Settlement Data Points, scanning NPC's etc etc).
2. Extending the current "Call in a Favour" mechanic to all other aspects of Engineer upgrades, as well as extending it to our interaction with Factions.
3. An Overhaul of Power Play-in particular making it so that assisting a specific faction will aid the Power aligned to that faction-& Vice Versa-& making it so that System Type and System State have a greater impact on how likely a Power is to claim/retain a system.
