What top 3 features-as yet unannounced-are you most hoping will be in the 2.2 Update?

So I'll admit that I have a list as long as my arm, of things I am *hoping* will turn up in the 2.2 Update. We already know that Ship-launched fighters, NPC Crew (Fighter Pilots only), Passenger missions, Module Storage and Transport, proper planetary geology, proper Neutron stars and White Dwarf stars, new main-game assets (ported from CQC) and new station interiors are all going to be in. However, I'm curious as to which features-stuff they haven't actually mentioned yet-do you still hope will make its way into the 2.2 update?

To limit my own list to three-in no particular order-I'd definitely have to say:

1. Further expansion of ways to obtain missions that are not tied to the mission board (via salvage, passengers, accessing Private Data Beacons and Settlement Data Points, scanning NPC's etc etc).

2. Extending the current "Call in a Favour" mechanic to all other aspects of Engineer upgrades, as well as extending it to our interaction with Factions.

3. An Overhaul of Power Play-in particular making it so that assisting a specific faction will aid the Power aligned to that faction-& Vice Versa-& making it so that System Type and System State have a greater impact on how likely a Power is to claim/retain a system.

So join in, guys, what 3 things are you hoping for?

I admit I don't think there will be many new features on top of the already impressive list of things that got announced. So, instead of three things I hope will be in 2.2 in addition to those we know about, I will just write three features I am looking forward to after 2.2, but before some major gameplay expansions like space legs and planets with atmospheres are introduced:

1. NPC wingmen for hire: I really hope this will be a thing in season 2 and that we don't get some "remote control" to minimise the risk of losing them

2. Asteroid bases: after capital shipyards and CQC environments, this is one of the last - but very appealing! - station types we are still missing in the game

3. Really interesting mission types like escort or espionage missions.
 
Doubt there's anything big in 2.2 we don't know about, except more on the alien mystery.

Stuff I'd like soon though:

more land vehicles
new explorer activities - new scanners, soil samples, archeology etc...

Well, the things I've mentioned as my top 3 are by no means "big", just expansions of existing in-game mechanics......and as such not Headline features like SLF's and Passengers.
 
Not stuff that'll make it into 2.2, but:

-HUD customisation in 2.3 maybe

-Supertransport ships that move system each week (and possibly between stations within system during the week) along a highlighted path through the bubble, using art assets from various starports, landable like outposts. Extra play oppertunities when near stations, allowing for very low risk/low reward play for those needing a break, also piracy targets. Also NPC people that move around in and around starports, doing stuff. not ships, PEOPLE, ground crew, silhouettes in windows, repair EVA crew, etc.

-combat, transport and explorer specific SRVs. Combat has nil cargo, but a larger turret and heavier, lower construction. transport is unarmed, but has much greater capacity, OR requires fighterbay due to size, same armament as scarab, but way bigger. Explorer has far better ranged scanner and sensors for surface scanning

I agree with a lot of the other stuff posted as well. Generally, anything that makes the world feel alive (hence supertransports), stuff like espionage missions (exploring for political gain), and more varied missions all the little QoL stuff.

1. Two or more structures in same instance (station, capital ship (in dock or just chilling), cqc assets tec.) Multiple space structures in same place would make locations more personal and unique.

2. Customization for SRV (like outfitting for ships)

3. Re design the hole bubble. Make high and low security areas, not individual systems, different difficulty areas that give higher rewards and that population etc scale better when moving towards edge of the bubble. The bubble is really badly designed to support game play or mechanics and is really bad map.
 
Orrery map. Mind you the time it takes to load the current system map the Orrery would probably dim the lights of my village.
Bigger SRV's for bigger ships.
Cockpit window cleaning service.
Peace, love and harmony throughout the galaxy.
 
1. Visual feedback for scanner pulses to pinpoint resources on the planets surface
2. Orrey System Map
3. SRV modules to give them specific roles
- Weapon module - for specific combat roles
- Stealth module - for smuggling / infiltration ground missions
- Mining module - to extract resources from planetary surfaces
- Exploration module - with more detailed scanners to find materials and special POIs+
- Trailers for cargo, mobile refineries and such things
- and so forth...
 
I only have one: Mac Space-Horizons.

Let Mac players buy a version of Horizons that gives access to the Horizon-only space content (such as the Beluga).
 
Small things I have always wanted...

Ship naming - seems fundamental for a ship type game.
I would like to be able to land on Earths moon - Not really sure why frontier is holding back on this one.
NPC crew - This one is not so simple, but it would be nice to have company on those long exploration trips - a ships cook - navigator/co pilot - engineer on board for repairs ... we are getting pilots, so I am happy with that.

Proper co-op missions would be nice.
 
Fix "...good job I found you first"
Was it a good job because he found me first? Did he do a good job and he's congratulating himself at me? Or is he meant to say "(It's a) good thing I found you first..."
Unless that's just how they say it in england "...good job I remembered the address" which would be doubly tragic, considering it isn't a job you remember but a thing.;)
Always been a pet peeve of mine. I always kill pirates who talk like that. If they could fix that one word I'd be happy. "What kind of job? I'll straighten you out you little ****."

Fix wings so it works properly. I keep getting dropped.
Flesh out PP more.
All engineering commodities should be materials. Fixes the storage for me.
 
Imma mismanage my hopes now, set myself up for disappointment by projecting my unrealistic dreams of a game onto ED and then will blame it on FD when they fail to deliver what I created in my mind:

1. Ability to board and pilot alien ships, with perfect in lore justification;

2. Voice acting for hired NPCs, or wait... Portraits (animated) and voice acting for every passenger with unique procedurally generated lines and the tech to voice them realistically through TtS, and ambient conversation noises if I turn on the cabin mic on;

3. Custom ship name creator which places your custom ship name on your ship in the style of your choosing which fits on the hull of each ship in a way everyone can see. I don't care how they'll distribute the names across clients.

1/ A better crime and punishment system that actually does work.
2/ Better customization options for the SRV.
3/ Sort out their network.
 
1. Mining CQC assets being used at the "centre point" of RES sites to act as the focus reference point.
2. Re-price of escape pods so they are more attractive to rescue during SRV jaunts
3. Ground based NPC SRVs and Skimmers auto aggro upon spawn. (sorry that is 2!)
