What topics are we allowed to discuss in here?

The Odyssey - Console ETA thread - the main topic of discussion on this particular sub-forum for the past few weeks, has been closed. (And with that, the post and thread count on the XBox forum grinds to a halt.)

I had wanted to respond to another poster who'd been asking in that thread about console sales, the size potential of the console player base, and the share of retail sales consoles have in comparison to PC. These were all valid sub-discussions to the "Odyssey, console release" OP. Are we able to continue that discussion here?

I'm all for keeping things on topic, but if we're closing discussion down simply because the OP has been addressed, will that now be something that's applied across the board? For example, the VR thread in News and Bulletins has been ticking along since Sept 2020 (Update on VR and Ship Interiors) and although the point of the thread has been addressed, it still functions as a place for VR players to share discussion on that topic. Bit confused.
