What type of Expansions or Add-Ons are you hoping for?

What type of expansions would people like to see? I am hoping for the following add-ons:

Planet Management - more interiors of staff management and more staff facilities like research dept, training, offices, warehouses, electricity etc? more land purchasing options, etc. more rides, improved transport systems, chairlifts, elevators, improved UI and management, terrain etc... more cheats and maybe the buggy mobile (from RCT3) more employee appearances, uniform colors, and entertainer choices... also improved biome selections (maybe with "climates")

Planet Carnival - New path features with open picnic areas or pavillions, and big stage shows with custom seating, plus lots of entertainers. also queue-mazes with special path types (like slides, poles, crooked/rotating floors, bouncy/springy floors, rope ladders or swings, etc) that connect to queues (for spooky or fun houses!) and maybe playgrounds too!
New Circus scenery with early 1940's worlds fair appearance, trapeze artists, ring leader, clowns, jugglers, mimes, face painting, strong man contest, fire breathers, dunk booths, midway-gamestalls, arcades, skiball, whackamole ringtoss etc. other rides, Maybe even a shooting gallery, or laser tag (like from RCT3?)

Planet Lagoon - All new water features, rivers waterfalls, underwater effects etc, Weather, rain, heat, wind etc... Swimming pools, wave pools, various slides, rafts/lazy rivers, and other water rides, diving boards, hottubs, more slides, etc, lots of water scenery, more fountains, plus lots and lots of boats, cruise ships, submarine, maybe even a helicopter? life guards, changing/locker rooms, more shops and staff management, more flat rides and shows. And more guest types with clothing variety to match the weather

UGC/CSO Editor - Mod support so we can make our own custom scenery, imagine all the basic rocks, plants, and walls we could create, let alone animatronics!! or a custom transport tube like from futurama [cool]

Planet Safari - This could work as a stand alone expansion, while the others would be add-ons for PC, but who would want a safari without Coasters or track rides? [haha] since we are getting JWE I really hope we can get something like that for PC that is compatible with the steam workshop, cuz animals breaking free seems like great fun!

Planet Resort - Extended hotel management features including staff with an all new reworked time-system for guests to leave parks at night, And play golf courses, more stage shows, bigger shops, buffets, new staff management, maybe even casinos? parking lots, and more "outside" of the park stuff like neighboring cities and transit management and a more developed career mode where you have various locations competing around the globe!!

Planet VR Kinect - And finally, something along the lines of the game Thrillville! (by Frontier) - With complete third person features, the ability to ride coasters online with friends, including racing go-karts, golf w carts, and haunted mazes! Or how about playing as a security guard chasing after vandals!!

Carnival Games as creaper said above
Some sort of water expansion (water rides, water parks, ect)
Shows/Parades
Holiday/Seasons Expansion (Halloween, winter, fall, ect)
Don't really know if this would considered to be a add on maybe more of a feature but interactive rides (like Disney's)
Custom Music

*Edit: I would really like a Halloween expansion that would add custom haunted houses, rides, scenery, props, ect. Really wanted to create some hunted house like my local park has but I can't [sad].

Oooo carnival games thats what i like i made a whole 1950s carnival set for rctw , stalls big top, cafe, entrances and all sorts, but im not releasing it due to how bad the game is. but to have a official release of such a thing would be awesome. remindes me of my youth :) but i think for the larger public water parks will be the next DLC then not sure how well the Zoo thing did with RCT3, it may be worth making a poll for that one. If Frontier can adapt there inhouse engine to accept certain 3d files such as fbx, then I think they may be unbeatable due to the pure talent of 3d artist out there that would contribute especially if they use the steam workshop. (this is the only thing that RCTW has going for them)

Expansion packs with these ideas:
1. water rides (log flume for us to create anyway we want), and jet boating like what Sydney Australia has, or Kinect Sports Rivals wake racing (jet boat) ride.
2. swimming pools, pool slides and diving boards.
3. Dolphin shows.
4. Zoo animals like elephants, giraffes, etc.

What I'd like to see in the game is optimization. I feel the average frame rate for this game with my PC is like 10-20fps since Alpha 3 came out. With Alpha 2 I was getting 32-46fps on 1920x1080 High settings. I'd also like to see that Revolve ride featured in the Announcement Trailer. I also saw this or similar ride in the helicopter race in Forza Horizon 3. Also to be able to control how fast the day and night cycles go and not to skip between 9pm and 5am. And transport and bigger maps (2-4x bigger). And gondolas as transport rides, something which Sydney's Taronga Zoo has.

  1. Water expension( get your visitors wet with slides, fountain, new ride, mystical new themes and much more)
    1. Atlantis, temple & arabian themes
    2. Slides & pool (not slide can only land in pool pls)
    3. River rappid, water playground, surf, obstacle course
    4. Fountain show
  2. Zoo expension ( bring you guests in encounter with their favorite animal in rides, walkthrough or show)
    1. Animals (duh)
    2. Specified walkthrough and maze
    3. Animal show
    4. Swim with or pet animal
    5. African, aquatic & snow theme
  3. Stay the night epension (let your vistor stay the night in hotels, distract them with show, fireworks, parade, fine cuisine and all new way to light you park at nights.)
    1. Walk-in shop snd Restaurent from fast food to fine dining
    2. Indoor flooring tool
    3. Light focuse theme, indoor focus theme
    4. Hotels
    5. Parade route (only big path size) (floats are empty, just out scenary and platform for mascot on it)
    6. Firework editor
    7. Transport expension
    8. Carnival game and funfair theme.

And for free update i was thinking
  1. Dark ride
  2. Walk-through & maze
  3. Ucg
  4. Seasons themes (merry Christmas?)

Those are just my ideal idea.

I think a water park/water rides/better water physics etc expansion is almost guaranteed to be the first expansion. They did it well with RCT3 Soaked many years ago and I'm sure they could improve on that

After that, I'm not sure although hopefully something other than a zoo/safari expansion. I wasn't that much a fan of RCT3: Wild, it felt quite tacked on with not much depth. Someone needs to make a dedicated successor to Zoo Tycoon imo and do it properly rather than just plopping it into a theme park game (yes a few theme parks have zoo/safari sections but there aren't that many that do it on a big scale in this day and age)

Why do people want animals so badly?
Do theme park / zoo crossbreeds actually exist in the united states or something?
I've always found Wild to be the weirdest RCT addition ever, and uninteresting.
If frontier would want to do zoo's, make a proper sucessor to zootycoon, don't merge it with planet coaster?

Now water parks again, i'd be down for.

First I want to see what is in the game for release, but wanted to make a thread in the future of one great idea I had, descirbing how it can work, and using the systems the game already has in place.

For me, exapnsions have to bring gameplay elements to the table, so some pack of rides and scenery woudlnt count for me as a good exapnsions.
But would love something titled like "Planet Coaster: Show Business!" were firework shows return, and there is a parade system where you can build your own floats using the games building system, and also making your own stunt shows.

As you can see, all the above are big implementetions to the game, so its not something I would ever ask for the release, but as an expansion were Frontier has put lot of thought into it.

Well there is Disney's animal Kingdom in Orlando. And in France we have two parks that have both animals and coasters.

I would totally love water parks too.

Would like to see a Movies/theater expansion, with actual shows and theater to put in the park which can be player modified (has been mentioned on the forum before).
Have tons of "movie" props and motion simulator where you can create a movie by combining scenes, certain combo's make a better movie.
A behind the scene area for your theater and show folk to take a rest and be trained so you can upgrade and unlock certain stunts but also make the quality of the shows/theater better(=more peeps)

Maybe even a Virtual reality coaster, you can create a coaster just like any other but when finished building, you click "create simulation", the coaster will disappear from screen and made into a virtual coaster which will be shown in the simulator. The moves the simulator makes is also as if it rides the coaster you created.
Editing the coaster will make it re-appear on screen.
You could even make the coaster fly trough space, the clouds or underwater. these will be backgrounds within the simulator. (toggle see tracks on/off could be used)

What type of expansions would people like to see? I am hoping for the following add-ons:

Lagoon Resort - With lavish hotels, swimming pools, slides and other water rides, plus some new themes. And maybe hotels could have casinos, stage shows, indoor shops and restaurants.

Carnival Games - With game stalls, arcade, skiball, dunk booths, face painting. Maybe even a shooting gallery, or laser tag (from RCT3?) Also circus & parades, more shows and entertainers, a few rides and themes.

Planet Safari - This could work as a stand alone expansion, while the others would be add-ons for PC, but who would want a safari without Coasters? [haha]

These are all pretty much the ones that I would like to see as DLC later on at a fair price. Lagoon Resorts I would be happy to pay £10 the base of what you asked. So say a few new rides, attractions, hotels that are just 8x8 blocks with basic management and a theme to suit (or parts to match all existing themes in game as applicable).

£20 to get full casino and building rooms/internals for hotels where you select say a double room and select the fit out for that hotel and then the king bedroom, suite etc. Then if you build another hotel you can either select the same room style or different room styles. I wouldn't even worry about seeing the interior in-game in that you can zoom about but have them as selection tabs with artwork showing a room layout would be interesting where you can adjust the bed type, furniture. (I don't want to micro manage every room).

The double/twin rooms could be the 4x4 box and the king room could be 6x4 and the suite 8x4 for instance and you can stack place them accordingly to give you 'X' number of rooms. Create the foyer/lobby, add the casino and select what is in it and numbers of tables etc and place that. It could be an 8x8 building to place for instance so you do have some design management but still small enough to let you build around it.

It would need to have a minimum of say 5 rides, 5 attractions, a whole new theme to suit along with the above building and management to warrant £20 but yeah that is the sort of detail that I would be willing to buy at that price point.

So yeah I think it depends and there so many questions on what is going to be in and how detailed to what I would like and at what I feel would be a price point to suit my personal requirements.

Personally I would not want hotels mixed in with water parks. The reason, is that it sucks to have to buy one to get the other. Some may want hotels, but not water parks, and vice versa.
Planet Safari, you would not have to build a coaster, at least in sandbox.

Maybe you are right PC1, however Lagoon Resort would make it better value. I like the premise of it being a water park with hotels brought in at this stage as if guests stay one day for the theme park and another for the water park side of things.

I would rather that than two separates at £15 each which I think was more where we was looking at it. If each part came at £10 with the themes and details as noted with "resort worlds" as one and "lagoon Park/wet & wild" etc at £10 then yeah that is fine.
