What type of game experience can I expect?

I've come into this quite late as a backer and am keen to know more.

I loved the old elite on the Amiga and Apple II. But of course those were single player games with extensive universes.

I know this game is multiplayer, but that's about it. IS it an extensible, procedurally generated universe? Can it be played as a single player game? Can you run your own servers? If so, can you set up your own server rules?

I'd love more info.

I'd recommend you look at the newsletters that are listed in the Updates Section and the dev diary and progress videos on Youtube.

Yes it is a procedural universe, yes it is playable solo online or offline. No, I don't think you can run your own servers.

I agree the Frontier youtube channel is a great place to start.

Leave the capital ship video till last though.
