What Video Capture Software are you using

Hi Guys. just wondering what Video Capturing Software you all use for Coaster Videos?
Tried FRAPS but can only record up to 30 seconds in 1 Video with free version, Is it worth the £25 to buy?

Hi Steven.
I use Nvidia Shadowplay. It comes with your Nvidia graphics card, if you have one, and is dead easy to use. If captures really good quality video and doesn't limit how long you record for. [happy]

Thanks Nemmie, I do have a Nvidia K4100M in my Laptop. Will have to have a look to see if it came with Shadowplay.

I am not a big comouter guy so i use fraps with some slightly adjusted settings. I do have shadowplay but never know how it works. Pressing the record button makes nothing happen with shadow play so fraps all the way.

Just tried the Shadow play and sadly it does not support my K4100M Graphics Card only support Geforce Cards. Empo Did you have to pay for FRAPS to get it to record past 30 seconds? Will also have a look at OBS thanks Ghosrath.

Hauppauge Capture.

I have a Hauppauge HD PVR2 which I use for Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 gameplays some of them with friends. It can also record PC games too. AMD Raptr sometimes gets Black Screens when I record and try to playback the recording. I then share to YouTube. My gaming custom desktop PC has Intel's flagship 6th gen Intel Core i7-6700k (according to their site, it's their flagship processor), 16GB DDR4 2400Mhz system RAM, and a Sapphire Nitro AMD Radeon R9 390 8GB GPU with back plate. My PC has a 240GB Kingston Fury HyperX SSD which has the Windows 10 Home OS on it and my games, and also a 1TB 7200rpm Samsung HDD.

PC games I have are this one, The Sims 4, and Cities Skylines.

Nope, I pirated a version of fraps after seeing how it worked at a friend.

Good free software to use for this is OBS (Open Broadcast Software)

Thank you for sharing this!! Gave it a test run in PC, this works way better than shadowplay and I like all the options so I can keep tinkering with it. I always had problems with choppy output in Shadowplay (and it's sluggish to work with on my end) but it's nice and smooth with OBS and at good quality!

Ghosrath What setting do you have on OBS for good video quality. I have downloaded and got it working but video is very poor.

Action! is good and way more user friendly with lots of more of options.

Sadly my key was um not legitimate even though it was advertised as such months ago so I will be picking up it on steam when it gets discounted during the steam sale.
