Apparently may have influenced Star Wars...

who would you want to see?

I have no specific actress in mind, but this surly looking English lass doesn't look anything like Laureline. I doubt she can bring the character to life either.

Were there really no redheaded French actresses suitable for the part? I find that hard to believe. Laureline is the star anyway, more than Valérian.

They both dont look the Part.

On the Facial Expressions of the Video I would assume.
The Middle Aged Dude has become an Mid Twenty Half Asian Guy.
And the Red Haired Woman looking mid Twenty has become a Drug Junky lol

I recommend reading the albums. It's one of my favorite comics, and a Sci-Fi classic.

He's going on about Dr Strange.

It was a cowardly call to appease China, I think (though Tilda did a good job, as she always does). The Ancient One is Tibetan in the comic, and China might have disapproved of Tibetan mysticism being shown in a positive light.

As for the gender flip, that was quite welcome. The old stories are terrible sausage fests.
