What was that ? (Aliens related ?)

I'm currently travelling to Jaques, and I was about to jump to the next system in route when something very weird appeard on my HUD. I'm not sure this screen cap shows it clearly but it looks like a GPU bug, as in "NVidia your drivers are buggy again" or some weird signal distorsions, as in "OMG THEY'RE HERE". Colors were moving / changing rather rapidly. No sound at all.

System name : STUELOU MG-D A 108-16

Nothing out of the ordinary in the system as far as I can tell. I just alt-tabbed back in the game after typing this and the HUD is back to normal. Anyone else spotted that ? Or is it just a GFX bug ?

The night I used Onionhead while out exploring...

It seems to be a common bug related to opening the map at least it only ever happens to me when using the map. Opening it again fixes the bug.

It's okay you aren't the only one, I saw a cluster of stars in the sky box and thought maybe if they are viewed from a certain angle it might gives us some clues but so far nothing. I'm currently flying around the heart and soul nebula to see if I could find anything near the Formidine rift area. Decided it's high time I start returning to the Pleiades sector now to see what will happen tomorrow so no sleep for me! \o/
