Just quickly-

Working economy and supply/demand chain. Player 'crafting' isn't important to me at all (nor player created guilds) but I would like to be able to help out local economies in a realistic way and see them grow. Trade is nothing in the game if commodities aren't actually doing anything meaningful. The most competitive enterprises could be the ones where players really help out trade wise, they should do better than facilities left to AI control, which might stagnate after time. In this way, players could work together to increase the population and economic activity of Systems, hypothetically being able to take a newly discovered System and turning it into a major hub of trade and activity over time (and thereby increasing its attractiveness to various Powers vying for control). That would be your 'Dynamic Galaxy'.


Apart from that... Adventure, Exploration, Mystery.

I did see this touted somewhere, I too am waiting for these. Im keeping all my apendages crossed.

Id also like to see more stuff to do shipboard. Fixing damaged modules with, say a mini game.

I like being in my ship but I want to pull knobs and twiddle things.

Need more *piloty* stuff.

As I'm on an exploration trip, the greatest thing about the powerplay update IMO was how planetary rings no longer disappear/reappear when transitioning between sublight and supercruise.

Kinda sad but true. So I'd like more improvements to the artwork. Graphics are a strong suit of ED's but those parallax clouds still look very WIP, and stellar forge could use some new algorithms and art assets to describe accretion discs and stars feeding off close neighbors and such.

Stars and flares are nice but could use some reworking, Giant stars could use some unique artwork as they probably appear more like spherical lumpy clouds of convection cells rather than perfect spheres, and being able to see the event horizon of a black hole would be great instead of just the gravitational lensing.

Pretty much I want to see more elaborate interaction and art for the celestials, you know, something we ALL can appreciate rather than focus on stuff like powerplay which only a segment of the player population is going to get into.

I hope we are not getting paid expansion just yet.

I'd like to see a 1.4 (or 1.3.X) that focuses either on a) Quality (fix a majority of outanding bugs and improve things like instancing so we can get full 32 player instances) or b) Backfill - flesh out and improve some of the existing mechanics (and some more love to powerplay while at it).

Then i think we can discuss paid expansions.... oh, and the orerry view for system map of course.

There are still many things that need attention, of course I would like a lot of new features, however we need to keep the basic game feature clean of bugs, and this is still a WIP.

What I wish for:

1. More fleshed out mining mechanics.
2. Voice feedback from the NPCs, instead of the text spamming.
3. Better mission briefing, maybe including some voice integration.
4. Different cockpit design, the joystick HOTAS thingy all look the same.
5. More interact in the cockpit, possibility to actually use some of the buttons there.
6. Possibility to form wings with NPC's

Sounds good.
Far more desirable than being able to walk around inside a ship.

Yeah.. not sure about voice feedback from NPCs though. I could see some sexy voice'd woman coming across "what you packing, big guy? Nothing, ... great.. loser.. my mom was right.." I'd either not be able to shoot or or just shoot her on principle without scanning.
 
Only thing I'd really like to see as an explorer is planetary landing, would make a lot more interesting on my journey instead of jump, scan, deep scan jump for 50,000+ LY's :D
 
Enride, as I remember; 'the expansions' were promised if a level on the Kickstarter was achieved. It was achieved. Note: Nothing was said about (hope) to implement...

Furthermore DB said these capabilities weren't possible with the previous computer tech, but are now possible.

They said 12 mo. after release and 'within the year of release.'
Which is this year.

no word about 'hope', we won't accept any more backpeddling on promises specially not the ones we paid for extra.

it's on record and tons of people bought expansion passes to get just that. Including me. So they better deliver the season since they presold a season pass.

kreuzbichler, you time frame is correct. And since then (several months ago), DB said in a news update, Planet landings would be 'phased'; namely, landings on Rocky barren planets, and very large asteroids, that don't have atmospheres. So expect (atmospheric) landings further down the line.

This procedure makes sense; When FD put the Galaxy in the game it was over a period of several Betas; finally fleshing out the planets with clouds and (due to player demand) city evidence, (lights). The point being here; These 'expansions' will not be implemented in one go.

What I hope we get is the ability to construct own own hang outs in Asteroids, I can see getting out there with a mining laser and blasting some tunnels in the rock...... right here is the dining hall, the master weapons cache, a warehouse where I can trade commodities with others....mount some serious defences, scanners, observation deck. Hire some NPCs to look after the place perhaps Marvin (from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy)....

Very good observations, (to me anyway). +1 rep. This ^^, and integration of tier 2 NPC's in the game, should be priorities.

These things are very important for further immersion in a scifi galaxy...
