What were you doing?

I can’t help but be a little frustrated with the game and with Frontier.

Let me preface by saying I do like playing this game, and everything looks really beautiful.

However, all of the issues that were in the beta still plague the game. I mean really.... the animals for the most part all still look the same (especially the wolves... but they’re a disaster altogether), the behavior of animals is still completely unrealistic and they hardly interact, even though we were told this would be fixed with the full release of the game, the time still moves ridiculously fast, so much so that I feel stressed playing this game because the clock is just moving so quickly. There are still so many bugs and glitches. There is still no working family tree from what I can see.

I’m just disappointed. I can’t help but think, what was Frontier doing with these 6 weeks that they’ve had to work on the game? I understand they had other animals and things to finish, but I would expect the issues with the beta to be at least mostly taken care of before the full release. Especially when several things were promised and they still haven’t been delivered. Please either address this or don’t make promises that you can’t deliver.

Still getting Keepers not filling food bowls. 😕
If you look in the release notes they address this. Keepers look into the food requirements of the animals in the enclosure and fill food enrichment before food bowls. If the food enrichment meets the food requirements of the animals they may not fill food bowls. You might try removing some food enrichment items and see if that allows them to fill food bowls.

I don't particularly like these threads that are being made to just throw grief at the developers.

That being said... I agree that the lack of interaction between the animals has probably been the most disappointing thing for me this morning. The lead animator specifically came onto a thread to assure us the interactions will be in the full game and were just being worked on.

Yet I see the same solo wandering from the animals as was in the beta with nothing changed. Very, very disappointed in that.

... And a lack of family trees too. How could you implement a system such as negative consequences from inbreeding with zero way to track it?

Do you have any idea what it takes to develop a game like this? Yes not everything is fixed, but hopefully it will be soon. Just some of the things I've seen and heard are much better than the beta. Overall performance seems to be much better and many of the major bugs seem to be fixed. Yes there is still issues but that is common especially with management games. They'll get it fixed just be patient and sometimes you need the quantity that a release gives you to track down specific issues. Just to get to this point is a colossal amount of work and expect bug fixes and patches in quantity over the coming weeks. Remember Planet Coaster had it's fair share of issues up front as well. It'll get better!
PS just to not be all pro game, I too am annoyed with some of these things but I don't think there is a need to be so harsh.

I understand and I usually don’t like them either. I never want to seem rude or demanding because I definitely understand how much time and work it takes to make a video game like this (my fiancé codes for a living). But I do get very upset when things are insinuated or even promised directly, and then they aren’t delivered or commented on. It’s not fair to consumers, especially when we beta-tested the game to help ensure these problems would be minimal at full release.
They at least need to address more of the issues present.

Which is exactly the same problem as it had in beta which made pretty much every single player think it was broken. So the OPs point still stands. Nothing changed since beta.

Personally I don't like keepers making a decision on how much food a habitat needs. If I put 10 bowls in there, fill them all up!
