What will happen - if I attack pirate outpost?

So in a system I frequent there is a lonely pirate outpost near a lucrative RES.

I've killed so many pirates from that faction in the RES that I am defo persona-non-gratis.

If I attack the outpost:
Could I become wanted?
Could I ever land again?
Would lots of ships come out to attack me?
Would bases defences wipe me out?

AFAIK outposts / stations cannot be destroyed.
If you attack them, then they will fire upon you (with great prejudice).

You will almost certainly get a fine or bounty (cant recall which).
You may not be allowed to land there, but other places should be fine.

You could always land there if you avoid a scan (I think)

I've had the same thing happen at an outpost it was red to me and denied landing privileges, at the time I just moved on but it might have been interesting to come back with a Sidey and shoot it up a little, your rep with that minor faction is well gone so you'd have to kill a lot of an opposing factions ships to turn it around.

If you shoot an Outpost, you'll be wanted, the Outpost will become Hostile and shoot you.

If you don't run away fast enough ,you'll be destroyed.

You can always land everywhere, even if you are wanted. Ask for permission, and dock.

Just be carefull around starports and military outposts : if you are wanted, and get scanned by a police ship, the cops AND the station will shoot you.
