What would cause modules to get damaged, when I didn't have a single impact or overheating incident?

I'm a couple thousand light years past Sagittarius A, on my way to Beagle Point and I noticed that my FSD is at 99% health, though I haven't had a single impact or overheating incident since I'd started the trip. The only incident was a binary star where I immediately fired off a heat sink and my ship's heat never got close to dangerous levels, but that was weeks ago, and nothing happened to the modules. But today I checked my modules and my FSD is at 99%. What would cause module damage, if my ship never overheated or had any impacts? Just before I checked the modules, when my scarab was boarding my ship from the surface of a moon, I heard a "chassis integrity compromised" message as the scarab was lifting into ship (but that's the only warning message I'd gotten during the trip).

dropping out of supercruise without safety. Examples: Being too fast, too fast and too near a stellar body like a star or a planet, unknown artifacts or cargo that causes module damage, neutron stars when beign too long in their ... ehh ... arms? :D

Not sure about this but I believe that as time goes by you are subject to wear and tear on modules. Which is one reason why explorers take AFMU's with them on long trips. You wouldn't notice it in the bubble as we are always refueling and repairing in stations as we go.

Would shooting past a planet, unable to slow down until passing it, damage module health, or just cause wear and tear? I never was forced out of supercruise or slammed into any body exclusion zones or anything. And since I've spent a couple months out, I'm staying out of the neutron star jets until I'm closer to a station and can afford to experiment.
