What would it take to get a station named after former Canadian PM Stephen Harper?

We already have a station named after a currently-alive former General Secretary of the Communist Party of the evil USSR. Could a station be created in honour of Canada's greatest PM? Just wondering.

I had a pet beetle called Friedrich Crawlson. He was eaten by a bird. Frontier, please name a station in honour of him, because I say so.

If we go around naming stations after leaders of countries who are popular among their citizens then every second station would be called "Kim Jong...".

Does he have anything to do with space, science, sci fi or engineering? Does anyone outside of Canada know who he is? In general it's best to leave politicians out of it. As for the former General Secretary, he does have a Nobel Peace Prize

At least the Kims had/have an interest in rocketry :D

He's an economist. That's kinda a science...

On which point... When do we get "Pratchett Orbital" or "Adams Station", perhaps "Hawking Landing" or "Novo Tereshkovagrad" or "Armstrong Base"?

When hell freezes over.

Great at destroying Canada's reputation throughout the world you mean.
Fantastic at selling out Alberta to the oil companies who immediately leave when tar sands aren't profitable anymore with oil at 50 bucks.
The most secretive, micromanipulating PM of all time IMO.

A terrific idea.

Once built, all ED's lefties and SJWs could busy themselves in perpetually UA-bombing it and demanding that it's renamed after some tree-hugger or save-the-whaleist. :p

What if I'm in the centre? Whats the insult word for that?

Multinational Corporations are better than enviro NGO's?

Think Greenpeace is wrong?

whaleist? Really?

They have minds Stealthie. They feel stuff. You know, like we do.

Its not a Leftie thing. Its a human one.

There is a difference between SJW and basic respect for others.

How many former Canadian PM's are there, and will you stop at just one?

A Sir John A. MacDonald station would need a pronounced wobble.

Unless you're the sort of person who would spend their time UA-bombing a station named after a conservative pol', there's probably no need to be offended. [up]

Looks like there are about 10 stations called 'Harper' already in the game.

To contrast that, I have only two :(

According to Inara, Hawking Landing is in Lokaantii . There are 2 Pratchett Orbitals ,one at Duwali and another in Rabal. 4 Adams Stations, Wunii, wolf 335, HIP 67882 and LFT 367. There is no Armstrong Base, but plenty of other Armstrong named stations. There also isn't a Nova Tereshkovagrad, but a good number of Tereshkova named stations. Just to make it clear there are many other stations named after Adams, Hawking and Pratchett.
