what would lead a player to be playing first person missions?

the frontier spent a lot of time doing first-person missions and little time doing things that many have always asked for, such as interior spaceships, dangerous black holes and water, but they didn’t think about what it would take a player to play first person missions ... why am I going to do a mission like this? why is it fun? it will give me 200k credits that I can mine 1 ton of painita, or destroy a pirate, so they spent all this time and advertising to give players a resource that is useless to players, at least we can leave the ship, the only reason i buy this dlc, i don't see any advantage in the first person missions that give me 200k of credits, for me i see it was a huge mistake that they spent all this resource doing these useless missions instead of developing the interior of the ships where they could still sell with ARX various customizations that most people would buy, customize the cabin, they could have spent all this resource on the exobiology suit system instead of developing that pitiful wheel.

Only thing I can think of would be rewards that are required for engineer unlocks. In order to further upgrade on foot stuff. To do more on foot stuff more efficiently for more mediocre rewards. Riveting...

Too much effort for not enough reward. Its not about the fact of wanting more credits I don't need them. Its not about getting better commodity or material or goods rewards either, those can be farmed easy enough through relog sim. It just does not provide a good feel when I see these missions that require alot more effort than the space ship stuff, giving way lower quality reward for way more effort. Not a good vibe at all.

First person missions are more nuanced. You have to go to place X, look around for an item, or turn on power or sneak around/fight scavengers.
Salvaging is greatly improved using first person. You map a planet and get a load of interesting points such as minor crashes, larger crashes, scrape marks etc. You go down and investigate and get some salvage. Might have to fight or sneak around something.
For exploring there is a reason to go down and get samples of various life forms. They aren't just in single clumps anymore either. In alpha they upped the instances of them so there was a variety of vegetation in areas but I understand they intend to turn that off, which is too bad.

I've never once wanted to be a foot soldier in a game involving space ships. I doubt I will be doing anything on foot other than walking around my ships and stations if they ever get the FPS back to where they should be.

I'm straight up staying on Horizons until they optimize Odyssey.

Except for the numerous bugs I'm finding related to them, the missions are probably the best part of the alpha. Take that away and well... we'd have almost nothing left in its current state.

So disagree. Only thing I agree on is the rewards are trash and that didn't change from alpha. Utter trash. Lucky for me, I don't need cash but that's besides the point.

Because you only see the credits, but the on foot mission are a ton of fun. You travel to the settlement in your ship, land in the outskirts of it, you sneak in do your thing and get out. They give you more gameplay than the ships interiors...It´s more options in the gameplay.

This, x1000 I like the missions, they are really good content. But my brain chemistry just thinks "Why bother, man?" with these rewards. I mean I am still gonna do them, I like them. I am just gonna feel a bit scammed by the rewards when it takes so much more effort than the ship stuff.

it's not about credits, I have enough credits, the problem is that there is no good reason to keep doing these missions, they should do some base building system where we should go on foot missions to kidnap slave npc or hire npc to build our bases outside the bubble, they could make mining bases conquerable temporarily so that we could dominate a tritium mine to supply our fleet port, taking tritium out of the market and forcing us to do that, but no ... it is the fdev that placed credits as the objective of the mission, it is their fault alone.
