Yes, you're shocked huh? Well to be quite frank I am sick to death of seeing people who have these things glued to their hands/face permanently and they cannot even eat a meal or have a simple conversation without constantly looking at it or faffing about with it. It seems to be a life-support machine for some.

I used to hate smartphones, but once I got my first a few years ago there's no way I'm going much of anywhere without one short of an apocalyptic scenario. I simply do not like socializing with most people offline, and I'll proudly admit that. ("Oh, I wanted to ask how you were doing but I don't really care. I just want to talk at you because you're a random stranger and it's the only way to keep myself from going bored or insane because of this terrifying week.")
