Hey guys,
i'm confused !! Was like instantly killed by a freakin Anaconda [Konrad Lorenz] I had 2 kill contracts for ... my Cobra with like 1mil total worth seems to be gone as i was transported back to a stored Eagle and ?no Chance? to buy back the Cobra ??? I missed like 10k to get the Cobra back with same equip but could not select any parts to deselect [as b4??] WHAT ?? I now am with a SideWinder and 33k ... WHAT ??? .. DEAR DEVS STICK THE GAME TO THE PLACE WHERE THE SUN NEVER SHINES !!! ... & b happy without me !! I supported your idea by buying it, but since release it plainly SUCKS !!

Yup, you lose everything if you don't have enough insurance to pay for it. You can always see how much funds you need before you head out from the station on your status tabs.

This is part of the game. You willingly took a risk buy spending your money and not keeping enough if you die. Elite Dangerous is about risk vs reward, you can take the safe route and trade in a small ship but make very little profit, or you can move on to bigger, better, riskier business to make money faster. I make a rule for myself to always keep twice my ship insurance. I have a viper worth 1.4 million so my insurance is about 70k and I always keep at least 150k in my account. Take this as a lesson, I know it sucks but at least you didn't have an Anaconda.

OP states that he wasn't given options to not buy back some components. If that's true, then he should report it, and get back some part of his investment. But as for the instant kill and such, that's how the game is.
