Whatever Happened to Earning Arx Through PP?

ARX through gameplay is simply capped at negligible levels. About two years of dedication required to afford a ship. It basically only exists to say "you don't have to pay real money for ARX".
Yes. But maybe it shouldn’t be this way. PP could be part of this change.

Yes but they specifically announced that PP2 would provide Arx (on top of the normal 400/week thing) they had screenshots showing the rewards.

FDEV needs to bring back the PP2.0 ARX incentive they silently ...

That might have been before store prices went up. Based on those figures in your screenshot and what current prices are now, you're talking about needing to consistently be in the top 10% for any noticeable Arx reward.

No that was after, that screenshot is just from a few months ago. It was never going to be a lot of Arx, just a bit extra like doing the titans was a bit extra, but just on a permanent ongoing basis. I’m surprised it has been so easily forgotten but I’m sure that’s what FDEV have been counting on.

The key words in that image are “Work in Progress” so if you PowerPlayers aren’t seeing that in the game then it could be that it was dropped.

Or they aren’t going to add Arx until they have everything running better.

Imagination is a wonderful thing.

They didn't "announce" anything. They didn't mention Arx in the segment where your screenshot was shown, at all. There's a reason for the big fat "WORK IN PROGRESS" notice you can see, top right of the image you posted.

"Work in progress" means "subject to change".

From the recorded segment, 1:32:46:

we're still a few months off yet so as you've seen all the footage that we've been we've been laying in on top we have WIP all over it, a Work In Progress. Some of the things may change, some of the names may change. In fact some of the names we may have made up today just because we're referencing stuff that we see internally. So forgive us if it changes. It happens. It's a peek behind the curtain of game development

Sure, there was a lot of discussion about the screenshot following that livestream, it didn't go unnoticed, but FDEV never explicitly referred to it though Arx rewards were conspicuous by their absence in the Powerplay 2.0 Q&A posted last September:

What non-credit rewards are planned for Powerplay 2.0?

There are perks that give benefits in your Powers systems, care packages that reward credits and engineering materials and module unlocks unique to Powerplay.

I'm not saying FDEV did or didn't at some point intend Arx rewards for Powerplay, nor that they did or didn't knowingly and deniably suggest the possibility by including a "WIP" screenshot. But to say FDEV "specifically announced" Arx rewards is simply not factual. That never happened.

They also forgot the vending machines.

Yeah, I wonder what that was about exactly. I was expecting some kind of cosmetic difference along with the rest of the Powerplay stuff that's turned up on station concourses. But I just checked now and didn't see anything that might fit that description.

Do the mission terminals look any different?
Or perhaps they haven't introduced the proper vending machines yet...
