1100-1200/t avg for a 2 jump round trip is a good target to aim for.
Assuming the station exit is pointing towards the planet (when it may not be) is a poor rule. It's easier to look at the station's rotation. The exit is Always on the side that is rotating anticlock wise.
There are also arrows on the target graphic of the station pointing to the side with the exit.
