I've been gone from civilization for almost a month, and am looking forward to the haul that I will make from the science data I've collected along the way. I've enjoied my trip to the core so far, and will repeat it when I make my cross galaxy trip, how long is the longest you have spent out in the deep black?

For me 6 months, but there are 10 months people. and there are people departed december 3300 that never came back yet.
I have been out since Oct 5th and I am going to stay out until oct 5th of next year so when it is all said and done I am shooting for 12 Months.
About three months. I went to Sag A*, then wandered around the core for a bit before returning home. I probably went about 55K LY total on that trip.
Over 250 days - left late March, docked Dec 11th.
My stat is borked: 68,000LY would make me proud but it's impossible! Was borked in 1.4, still is in 2.0.
Not saying that your is borked too, for vast majority of players it's right.
Not sure if it is Cmdr; I show max distance of 65005, my trip over the line finished up at 65061. I think the farthest out distance may be a common bork
Can be right, becouse your distance is from Sol, the stat calculates distance from departing station. I have done only one long trip, that was to Sag A* and back. It wasn't even that long in the end, I think I was gone less than 10 weeks, of which three my character was stuck in limbo.
This was done back in 1.0/1.1 and my ingame exploration distance traveled / furthest away statistics are nonsensical.
I am planning to leave for a longer trip of indefinite length in the near future. Sort of already am on the said trip, scanning for fun about 1300ly from Sol. I'm just not quite sure yet whether to go with this Asp setup or come back to bubble to refit after all...

Actually, the stat calculates distance from the system you started the game with. I checked this by measuring distance to my starter system while being further away than ever before - the numbers matched. The game has no idea which system you consider the start of your current exped, all it does is measure from initial game starting point.

I have no idea where I started anymore, tried to find it with this stat but didn't have any success.
