What's so special about PVP? Part three of cmdr Hercules4's, "Lord of the Pit" series, released today.

For those who think that pvp is all about ganking, griefing and ganging up on the defenceless (as well as doubters of the huge PA on the FDL), please check out Hercules4's latest video as a celebration of how much fun and how skilful Elite Dangerous pvp can be. For me, Hercules4, and many of the other flying aces out there - heroes and villains alike - epitomise much of what is great about multi-player combat in the Elite Dangerous world and show us why we should keep fighting to keep it real. :cool: "Lord of the Pit" Part 3 - Fer-de-Lance PvP:

There's nothing special about PvP. Some like it. Some don't. Perhaps an alternative, non-strawman title to the thread would be more appropriate.

I've seen a lot of these fixed MC & huge or large PA FDLs recently...not particularly impressed with the loadout, to be honest.

Still an interesting video. Always nice to see other perspectives.

As opposed to the kind of guy who uses four cannons and a large fixed beam, like the nutter he takes down half way through the vid ;) (although I'm still learning how to use it to better effect)

WHat kind of controller are you using? HOTUS, mouse/kb, gamepad, etc?

No worries, thanks for making the LOTP vids and the dropship vids - kind of a shame the thread was moved to the fictions section as there was plenty to provoke a discussion in my opinion - how pvp is not just a gankfest and how the huge PA does actually work well!
It was also interesting seeing how close I was to getting destroyed...if you've seen the video from my pov, I jumped to Baijungu (where I melted from 7 to 1 percent) which is roughly the same direction as Riedquat, but if it hadn't been, I'd have been space dust for sure!
