One of the reasons I love using EDDiscovery is the galactic map in perspective mode, and the amazing view of the extent to which the galaxy has been explored and recorded by the community.
There's plenty of Galactic graffiti, strange search patterns, locked sectors...
...
and well travelled routes, which all show up.
I recently arrived back at an old stomping ground of mine and Chiggy's near the core with my second commander to farm ELW's to get to Elite.
We searched around 25,000 systems in 2 sub sectors (one on top of the other) for ELW's, and you can see the cube shape of each sub sector, along with the well travelled route between Colonia and the core passing below.
(With my second commander I'm currently scanning an ELW every jump (there are around 500 ELW's here in close proximity) and the max jump I've had to do so far is 20LY!!!)
So once I finished here and toodle back to Colonia I'll be Elite with my second commander too!
Has anyone else got any info on any other features, maybe like this one? (which is visible from a long distance away and must have taken ages!)
