Depends if you use ammo synth or not on the right panel..

If you want to have to recollect mats to add more ammo after the fights then you can use medium ships and synth ammo to give a bigger punch while waiting for that RNG explosive 0% power plant module to blow the ship up on the next random hit counter...

If you like SRV driving then you can use synth ammo for those medium ships get 6 inches from there power plant module amd unload Massively engineered frag cannons in to sheilds, then there hull. Doing that with Slow turning big ships is a lot harder...
Thats one play style that avoids big ships for mediums usage...

Big ships normaly use lasers for sheilds then fixed rails/PA, rails are used as big ships can handle the heat of rails better and then module snipe with the rails as they will go through modules easy. with correct engineering.. then the power planet destroys the ship via RNG..
If your still learning to aim of just dont want to aim. Gimbals on multi cannons are a replacement for the rail gun sniping on slow moving ships...

With the big 3 you can combine lasers/multi caanons so you balance shield removal time Vs hull damage/module damage time...
The builds and ships are fully play style dependent...
 
I realise this is heresy but the Anaconda's hardpoint locations aren't great for combat... or, at least, they don't provide much flexibility in how you can use them.

Whatever you stick in the lower hardpoints (1x C4, 1x C3 and 2x C1) have a lousy field of fire.
Basically, you can shoot anything at nose-height or lower (which you can't see) but you can't hit anything that's in the middle of your line-of sight.

Ideally, you need to put kinetic weapons in the upper hardpoints (2x C3) so you can get a good idea of where your bullets are going, and then put hitscan weapons (lasers and rails) in the lower hardpoints so you can shoot stuff when it's right in front of the ship's nose.

If it was me, I'd probably use a Corvette with a couple of C4 MCs, some lasers and, perhaps, some frag turrets (for pummelling anything that got too close) cos it's pretty agile for a big ship.

Shields go down in seconds on most ships and then just let it rain pieces of metal

Like @Stealthie says, the corvette is surprisingly agile, hence a full fixed setup. running a HOTAS setup with a Stream Deck for handy shortcuts and button multiactions

the true min-max (TM) of massacre-missions is taking 1 low-ranked mission to fullfill high-ranked (wellpaying) missions. you don't need any special ship to do a master-ranked massacre mission and get the credits for a few elite-ranked. lower ranked pirates neither have a lot of shields nor armour. so ttk is relatively low, whether you fly a clipper or corvette.
