I realise this is heresy but the Anaconda's hardpoint locations aren't great for combat... or, at least, they don't provide much flexibility in how you can use them.
Whatever you stick in the lower hardpoints (1x C4, 1x C3 and 2x C1) have a lousy field of fire.
Basically, you can shoot anything at nose-height or lower (which you can't see) but you can't hit anything that's in the middle of your line-of sight.
Ideally, you need to put kinetic weapons in the upper hardpoints (2x C3) so you can get a good idea of where your bullets are going, and then put hitscan weapons (lasers and rails) in the lower hardpoints so you can shoot stuff when it's right in front of the ship's nose.
If it was me, I'd probably use a Corvette with a couple of C4 MCs, some lasers and, perhaps, some frag turrets (for pummelling anything that got too close) cos it's pretty agile for a big ship.
