Whats the best way to bring my 2nd ship to another system?

I figured I'd do the whole trader ship and fighter ship thing but didn't realize the ship would be stored in only the starport I bought it from :/ so what's the best way to get both my ships to another system?

Go to the System you would like to end up in. This station must have a shipyard. Once there, store your current ship, and buy a new cheap 'Taxi' craft. A Sidie', Hauler, or something like that. Jump back to the station where your other ship is stored. Jump into your saved ship. Sell the 'Taxi' craft. Then, finally, head out to the system you would like to end up in.

Come 2.2 all you will have to do is travel to a station with a shipyard, and call any of your ships to you.

You gotta fly them there yourself these days which will involve buying a ship at your new destination to go collect the other one.

I recommend a hauler with the best FSD you can get and a fuel scoop.

Don't worry about the money you spend on upgrades for your taxi, you get all that money back if you downgrade the modules at your destination station. You only lose 10% of the purchase price of the taxi craft (which is peanuts anyway).

I can't wait for 2.2 for this very reason. Naysayers be gone, the ONLY thing I'm looking forwards to in 2.2 is ship-transfers :p

Maybe not the only thing, but definetly one of the key feature for me despite just being a "QoL improvement".

Let's be honest, despite the "reality breaking thing" that it will bring, ship transfer will allow more dynamic gameplay sessions.
