Is there an easy way to switch? Does simply changing the display from HMD to desktop make any changes in setup when you return to VR?

What's the easiest way to switch between VR (Oculus Rift) and desktop version?

I used EDProfiler (http://www.drkaii.com/tools/edprofiler/)
Have a screen and VR profile setup, apply witch ever profile you want and start ED, can swap between by exiting to launcher, applying the other profile and hitting Play.
One thing is the Oculus app will always start regardless of screen or HMD, I just park it but if bothered EDProfiler has an option to run a batch file and can stop the Oculus runtime service when applying screen mode.
i have a macro keyboard, i have 2 keys setup rift on, rift off, basically it just goes thru the options setting everything up as i like it, takes it about 20 to 30 seconds to swap modes.
i really find it strange that frontier doesnt let us just have a button to swap between rift on and off
if your listening frontier just make it so that when you swap, it remember whatever you had the setting at last time, the rift was on
and when you switch it off, it goes back to whatever you had the settings at when the rift was off, so if you want to change settings for rift, turn rift on change settings, and it remembers them
the rift has a sensor for when you put it on, imagine, if when you put your rift on it changed to the settings for using rift, and when you take rift off, it changes back to your desktop game settings. that would be so cool, and for the people that wouldnt like that option, make it an option so they can have it like it is now, or like that. then everyone is happy.

Not really sure, but if you send me an oculus, I promise to do extensive research until I find an answer for you.
