Wife is skinny fit gym freak, puts me and everyone I know to shame with her amazing fitness but for some reason can't even pretend to smile with fat jokes. It's a no go area, so I'm trying to find the limits.

Anyway... my experimentation has yielded the followign results:

Beached whale jokes - not acceptable
Jabba The Hut jokes - not acceptable
You're so fat that x, y, z jokes - not acceptable
Pointing at michelin man/ fat person on street and saying "hey look there's your double!" jokes - not acceptable
Pretending there's been a new report that the earth's orbit has been adversely affected. On her asking why I inform her scientists think it could be due to her weight... - not acceptable
Gravitating towards her trying to stop myself, explaining I think it's the gravitational pull - not acceptable
Pretending I'm getting quotes from builders to enlarge the doorway to accommodate for her increasing weight - not acceptable

I'm running out of ideas. Surely not all fat jokes are unacceptable??

(if she was in any way fat at all, of course I wouldn't make such ghastly insensitive jokes I'm not an idiot, but it makes no sense when she's normal!)

I call one of my friends a whale. She accepts it, by now even adresses herself as the whale.

So either Im just a huge or not every women is so stuck up.
