What's the most time-efficient RES/CZ method?

For RES farming with an Anaconda, you need level 5 dirty drives for speed, and all lasers engineered with level 5 efficient to make them run cool and continuous. A charge enhanced distributor helps as well.

It's best to start with a harmless crew because they soon rank up and will take 7% less money when elite.

Thanks, yeah I've fallen back in love with gimballed pulse lasers, when you are fighting a fleet it's nice not to have to reload or get more ammo. Looking at the stats I also wonder if maybe the anaconda is in fact the best ship after all for thisl, with all its smaller hardpoints than a corvette it will have less distributor draw and the highest dps....no doubt 1 on 1 a corvette with full incendiary MC or torpedoes or whatever would be king but I think I might prefer an anaconda for killing large numbers of npcs...idk I'll have to get all the ships and compare! Anybody loan me 5 billion or so...?

Going to engineer all my pulses now...trying to figure out which fighter is best, on paper it looked like the imperial with fixed pulses due to the insane dps but others are saying it's a taipan with fixed beams....hmmm..the gimbals though seem completely pointless, with 1/3 the dps and the same distributor draw?! Unless it's fighter vs fighter combat, then MAYBE I could see gimbals being good.

Do you really get any more credits/hr in a big ship. After about 2mins of getting into a RES site (up to Hi, Haz is slightly different) I've killed everything that is wanted and anything else that spawns if long dead before anything else spawns.

I've yet to be flooded with enough enemies that I have needed anything bigger than my ASP or KB to complete rule the site. I've only been to a CNB a few times and I didn't really see much difference there either.
If this is the case then I will be able to make the same or similar cr/hr in whatever ship I fly.

Do the big ships cause a spawn or more ships than the small/medium sized ships? I know your combat rank affects what is spawned for you but numbers have never been an issue for me.

I'm honestly interested as I've very little to no desire for the bigger ships normally but if they spawn more bad guys then a bit of bif fleet action may be on the cards! Love the looks of the Vette!

IDK about Haz RES (that just seems soooo slow in an anaconda - planning to build a laserboat vulture and clipper for that - and low and high just seem pointless), I can clear out a CZ in my anaconda but it seems like a new wave is always jumping in. Last night I actually had to low wake out and recharge the shields for a minute when fighting a fed faction - four or five ships focused on me at once and my shields got too low, even after dumping a couple SCBs they were dropping, that was exciting!

If the OP wants to up his combatrank, he should take the fight to the system security, they are mostly deadly..

That works really well...but you need a though cookie to pull it off for more than 15min. Did it for BGS play, and it was actually quite fun and much
more challenging than CZ/Haz Res.

Te Anaconda is great for haz RES, CNB and Czs, but you must have level 5 dirty drives. The all efficient pulse lasers are plenty enough to deal with NPCs.

Unengineered, the FDL is best for RES and CNB. For CZs, it's the Corvette.
