What's the situation with African Rhinos?

Hey all,

I was just wondering about the mystery surrounding the African Rhino's (including white and black rhinos) absence from Planet Zoo, did some other game company patent rhinos in videogames? Is the African Rhino stuck in the White Lodge? Is the answer simply: Jumanji?

I only ask as there are a number of assets in the game that depict them and it seems as if they were maybe pulled from the game for some reason or intended to be added at a later time? What's the goss? Maybe the artwork and subsequent items dedicated to them were finished much earlier than the final animal roster. I won't rest until I find out the truth!

Personally I think they will be added to a future African DLC.

Quite a few people have been vocal against other African animals to be added before other continents. Never understoord that, most of my favorite animals are from Africa.
And not in the game yet !

I always considered the polar bear, penguin, kangaroo and White/Black Rhino as base-game (mostly based on other games)

Some people have said that they probably had someone design a generic "rhino" sign, and it ended up resembling an African one, but even if this is true, I think either the white or black rhino deserves to be added. I know we have a lot of African animals, but this one really deserves to make it into a pack.

There's several "easter eggs" or to be revealed as "easter eggs" in the game the rhinos and the jaguars (before the jaguars were added of course). There's a sloth poster in one of the staff buildings, I think surgery?

It is rather odd to choose the Indian rhino over the two African species. But hopefully we will eventually get them as dlc eventually. The game would feel incomplete without at least one of the two.

I'm personally satisfied that we have Indian Rhino actually in-game,since no other game ever included it in their roster (we had javan rhino in ZT2 but still..)
I want both Indian,Black and White rhinos in final product, since everyone differs from one another pretty much.

A lot of RL zoos have the Indian Rhino, so that's great to have this rhino in PZ

But I understand OP's view on this. For a lot of people this is considered a basic zoo animal. And really want to see one. And most of them are surprised it's still not in-game.
For their African parts of the zoo it's definately a missing animal.

I like the addition of the Indian Rhino as well, but the African ones do have a bit more appeal in a zoo (at least for me)

To echo others, I'm thrilled we have the Indian rhino, but we absolutely need one or both of the two African species as well. At least one of them, in the end, before the game is wrapped up. My African sections just feel incomplete without rhinos.
