What's the use of nanomedicine ?

So... What's hidden behind this latest Galnet news ?

Nanomeds are sophisticated pharmaceuticals that use nanoscale materials to repair cell damage on a molecular level. They can heal any injury in a fraction of the normal time, and can potentially cure almost any disease and infection

If I put my tinfoil hat on... I would believe that's a lore explanation to the magical health bar replenishing when you take gunfire damage from from another CMDR shooting at you while you're roaming around your ship... on foot.

Also, development plan for ED extended to several decades [big grin][big grin]

I like the direction this is heading [up]

I thought progenitor cells were the fountain of youth.

"Potentially cure any disease" - That needs a lot of perfect programming, and are mental illnesses included? Not that it wouldn't make sense, but who says that these meds can't be used to re-program someones mind [where is it]? I see already several storylines regarding sleeper agents appearing on Galnet.

Will the usual medicines now be obsolete?

Yup think you pretty much nailed it.

One thing always that worried me regards Elite Feet and that was death or to be more precise the vanilla version of death.

ED is an effectively safe game in that you cannot die - true you can loose credits but its real easy to make credits. But feet now that brings up the potential of permanent loss.

Except this here unfortunately fits FD attitude towards this..
e.g. death wont mean death with Elite Feet.

On one hand this is the second potential confirmation they are building feet (Dura Drive) but on the other its a glimpse at a very safe and easy play style.

Rather than implementation of complex methods to avoid death - such as security systems, body guards, police enforcement, licensing; instead they may be going down the pew-pew on foot route. More violence more shooter less rpg.

But yup defo feet.

I'd focus more on the "and can potentially cure almost any disease and infection" part. This may be a setup for the return of the Cerberus Plague.
