General / Off-Topic Whats the worst super hero film?

The Green Lantern was on tv so watched it for the first time to see if it was as bad as they said. I think if Ryan Reynolds had been better known . But WB DC always have trouble with there superhero movies but they they still still keep trying. This was the extaned cut it explains the background story.

I remember reading Green lantern comics as a kids and te fantastic 4 comics s and animated series.

There is plans for a sequel/reboot to Green lantern hopefully lessons will be learnt.

Obviously the realism of the tech should not be taken to seriously rarher its about the journey the character takes when faced with challenges

Batman Begins and Ironman get a tie. Because they were good origin movies and sparked a plague. If theyd just been awfuI I doubt idve been dragged along to countless banal imitations of the format.
Oh and Captain america winter soldier. Not because its the worst, just the most overrated. Everyone agreed it was dire at release, yet somehow its been reinvented over time as some kind of apogee of fine art. And Ant Man. Not even valium that one, just cocodamol. Not even. Its a weaksauce herbal remedy. Its the turmeric & ginseng of painkillers. So bland I felt like a forced participant in a postmodernist Waiting for Godot.

I miss most of the worst superhero movies as I actively avoid ones I think will be less fun than staring at a ceiling or doing laundry for two hours. Among the ones I have seen it would be a three way tie between Batman & Robin (1997), Iron Man (2004), and X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)...with Blade Trinity getting an honorable mention.

The completely forgettable fantastic four films. I forget why.

The Roger Corman 1994 unreleased version made purely for licencing shenanigans was better and here it is in all it's magnificently cheesy glory :

Why have i never heard of this???

And yeah, my take on the worst one was the reboot Fantastic Four in 2015.

Also not impressed with the reboot of Spiderman with Andrew Garfield. It wasn't that it was so bad, but yet another reboot not longer after it had already rebooted was just too much for me. I suppose this also affected my opinion of the 2015 Fantasitc Four movie as well. Reboots after reboots are just too annoying.

Green Lantern i actually didn't think was too bad. Not great, but enjoyed it. However, here i am hoping for a good quality sequel or reboot.

Batman vs. Superman - Dawn of Justive, terrible plot.

Elektra - let's not even go there.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - ok, i enjoyed it somewhat, but i had so many issues with the adaptation, especially with being a fan of the comics. What annoyed me the most was the inclusion of Billy the Kid simply to give the American audience something to latch onto.

There's an entire story behind it. The company that owned the rights were required to actually produce something by a certain time limit. They hired Roger Corman(?) and paid some unknowns to shoot it with a tiny budget. That way they could say they made it and could keep the rights but it was never intended for release. It's only ever gotten out as a legendary bootleg tape. That's why you have never heard about it, unless you're some kind of superhero movie nerd like me.

The link I posted is the legendary full version, the internet is like one gigantic bootleg tape.

There's a documentary about what happened with it on amazon prime called DOOMED !. Which is fitting for this forum :D.

Actually this happens alot in early days with actors contracted to make a certain number of films . When they become famous they release the other 'crap' film to exploit the hype.

Batman and Harley Quinn.

Poorly animated explicit horrorshow with no redeeming features. Plot collapses about halfway through, if anyone is still watching.
Worse than Corman's FF movie. Truly the nadir of animation, and all things DC.
