Anyone know what the missions with the eye inside a diamond are? The description doesnt list rewards, just meet someone at X during time Y

I'm trying to find this out too, with no luck whatsoever. Just picked one up and waiting for the rendezvous now.
Post when you find out (assuming its not bugged? ) 
Just got chased out of the nav beacon, when I'm not even wanted in this system. Dunno if that's anything to do with it. No idea how to find the contact though.
Well the timer just ran out after I spent the whole time in the target system, in space. No contact, nothing. Stopped at the Nav beacon and in a couple of USS, nothing. Another bug then.
I saw one of those.
Had no idea what it is or what you do. Or what the reward is?

I'm finding it odd that nobody is saying what the diamond eye symbol stands for. Can't even find anything related by googling.

Probably something to do with the UA/Meta-alloys thing going on at the moment, but I took one look at that wall of text in the megathread and noped right back out of there. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.
I've done a few of those missions. You were doing it right, it was just apparently bugged. When they work correctly, once you hit the right time, you'll get an updated mission alert, and the contact will meet you in SC. Then, when he gets close enough, you do that "follow my wake and we'll talk" thing. Drop into his wake, he'll update the mission. It'll then either finish, or you'll get the next step.
But yeah. Many of these have expired on me, but it's not limited to eyes. I mostly do combat missions, and about half of the targets just never show up.
EDIT: Also, the eye symbol I think is only supposed to signify a secret intelligence/spy mission.
