What's up with campaign mode?

I just finished all of the campaigns in about an hour and a half. They are insanely short. Why not do something more elaborate, where I actually have to get upgraded fences for the dangerous carnivores? Why not actually have me construct a park instead of two enclosures (sometimes just one will do)? What happened to the amenities? Hotels, restaurants, etc? I assume these will be part of the other modes (I hope), but this was a tremendous disappointment.

The campaign is the de facto tutorial. The real/main meat of the game resides in Chaos mode.

Yes, the Amenities and Attractions are a part of Chaos Theory and Challenge Mode. :)
I think he/she want to say he/she lost every thing he/she made in campaigne mode. bc once the campaigne is done we can't go back on it. It would be nice to get back to make parks

The cmapign is de facto tutorial, but they didn't want to call it a tutorial because many people would skip it.

From a style and story perspective:
The campaign, rather than a "career" type of game mode, like the first game had where you make parks and unlock things and so forth, is a story setting placed fully within the franchise's overall and overarching fictional universe. Specifically, it is placed between the events between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion to bridge the gap between the two movies where you make protected sanctuaries for the escaped dinos from the Lockwood Manor. Frontier themselves explicitly said this in an interview article on Newsweek.

Jens, will there be additional campaign missions once Dominion is out?
The campaign really feels cut in half as it is. It's a shame since I really enjoyed it
I'm not sure if it will alongside Dominion related content releases, at least in the context you're probably thinking, because of what is currently known about it from a behind the scenes perspective in the link I shared above that goes more into interesting details, but disregards the length. If anything, the only and closest plausible idea I can think of is an extension that takes place after Dominion's events, because I see nothing feasible that can take place between the in-game campaign and the movie itself, let alone during the movie.

Why not though? I mean, the potential Chaos Theory level will be just one scenario on a single map.
The movie offers more than that. Other events (like Malta, Socotra island etc.) could be implemented as additional campaign missions. At least that's what I really hope. The campaign is fun but just too short

Your right about Chaos Theory will have one map. The other locations, if any ever will be in the game, I feel may be Challenge mode maps instead, with additional special skin unlocks when you complete them as all Challenge mod maps have, particularly for the Dominion dinos. If any new maps are to be set in Campaign mode, I feel they would be original game exclusive locations, and all of this is based on how they approached the Campaign from a behind the scenes perspective on the Newsweek article I shared.
