What's up with Sugrivik?

So this corporation declares itself independent, I hurry over there, try my luck as a mercenary in a war zone. But alas! More than a day has passed since the declaration and there is still no sign of warfare, conflict, whatever. Am I missing something?

Yeah, I flew there yesterday after seeing the news... and no conflict zones. Maybe after today's server side patch, some may spawn?

Well hot damn, lets make it one! I went there yesterday hoping to try my hand at some combat for the first time and got zilch.

When onionhead was first mentioned, I zoomed over there and stocked up. It wasn't until a week later that onionhead prices went up.

The story threads are a slow burn it seems.

I guess I'll hang around the area a bit and hope for a nice little independence war. I'd fly for the federation of course. Not because they are nice, but because rep with them will be far more useful than with some wannabe independents.

I thought they run the two independent stations in the system?

I am confused. If the 2 stations are independent, aren't they already "independent" from the Feds? It seems as the one station associated with Sugrivik Labour is Fed. Does this mean that we have to wait for the Feds to move in to try to take back the 2 stations?

The controlling station is owned by the feds.
So the system is already owned by the feds.
The 2 independent stations are both owned by some purple people - they must increase influence before civil war can be instigated against the controlling faction.

I am in Grechko Station, controlled by the company wanting to break away from the Federation. Came here cos Galnet and latest Elite newsletter stated that the company were looking for help. Will help Purple Netcoms Holdings just to cause trouble. Anyhow, there were no missions in the U.S.S. of which I tried 6 or 7, thought there might be extra stuff to do, so headed to Grechko to try and help. very few missions available, finally got one to kill some pirates so you have to be lucky to even find a mission on the bulletin board for this company, most of the missions in the Purple Netcoms controlled station seem to be from Sugrivik Labour, the faction that did not support Purple Netcoms...huh?... and when I say most missions it is currently 2. I mean seriously? These events are hyped up and NOTHING is happening! Was the same with the Onguwa or however you spell it, the second slave rebellion, took me an hour to get there from where I was, and it was over!!!!!! Despite the fact that after it was over Galnet was saying they were looking for help! Guys PLEASE, some content would be great - and I dont mean just another PvP and PvE instance, I mean some story line plot around the company breaking away. PS - this is mad, the company have a post up, algae wanted to feed the starving children - yet the station they control beside this one, Goddard Gateway is an agricultural world exporting fruit and veg and grain. There is no Federation embargo preventing cargo being carried, and this station is described as wealthy!!! In other words commerce should be going on as normal - mission makes no sense

Or the total opposite like with that last slave rebellion which was over in a couple of hours.

I hope the purple people get influence soon. I need combat bonds.

Civil war in LFT 78 instead

Right next door in LFT 78 there is a civil war that just started. I think a bug may exist causing Galnet to not reflect where the conflicts really are.

Yeah I did a big thread on this a few days ago. No missions about it at any station, no signs at all. Nothing in uss's, Absolutely nothing different from any other system you fly to. Wasn't worth the trip much less sticking around. We need missions relating to this stuff in game to give more gameplay. They need to state "we need this so we can fight that" Then when you return with x product then is says" great job now we are getting close but we have toomany system athoutiy vessel to contend with so we need x amount destroyed" do that one then a big reward mission after another or something. This is CRAZY BORING RIGHT NOW"
