Whats up with the murder rap sheet!

So after a few heated battles in REZ, I accidentally hit a friendly target as he crossed my path.

So I get a fine on me and suddenly I'm wanted. So as to not get blasted, I decide to head back to the outpost to pay my fines.

While on the way back to the outpost, I get interdicted about 3 times, obviously someone wants to cash in my wanted status and collect 400 credits!

Two of the interdicters were Clean status, so I waited till they attacked me first, then I let loose on them.

After I killed them both, I get an additional bounty for murder of another 5000 credits each.

So what's up with that? Why do I get fined since they attacked me first?

Because you were Wanted in the juristiction where you were attacked.

So if someone attacks you then, it does not count as a crime, similarly to if you attack a wanted pirate.

Either run or just kill them anyway for the fun it.. teach them a lesson :)
The satisfaction of a kill > 5000cr.
