Whats with missions!

boom time delivery of 4165 units of clothing 1,115,717 or cropharvesters 31
or
boom time delivery of 135 units of survival equipment 1.189,805 or crop havesters 31
or
boom time delivery of 137 units of clothing 2,115,873 or 20 crop havesters
well thats a no brainer!

is it a bug or has someone got something a little bit wrong?

BTW! all going same destination and for same faction

I’m with you. They need to do a “balancing pass” on the missions. In my home system, there’s 5or 6 factions. Out of all the missions for those factions, there’s only ever 1 or 2 that make sense.

I think it would be cool if there was a separate combat and trade mission board. Hopefully that could make more available missions and more viable missions

The problem is rewards for delivery missions are primarily a factor of goods value, rather than volume shipped. Clothing is about 20x cheaper than crop harvesters, so that will be reflected in the mission rewards.

Also in the first example, it's a wing mission, and rewards are pre-quartered. While it still results in it being horribly under valued, it's how it works.

Reward should be changed to be primarily shift based on tonnage though.

In a system I work out of, I'v been seeing mine 10,688 tons of water for 6 million. It's a ludicrous offer. I'm curious if any rational human takes these.

Yeah, it's the same for mining... only value of the commodity affects tonnage required for mining, rather than reward in this case.

So you'll get a 4m credit reward for a wing mission to get 200t of Gold, gold @ =~ 9000/t. Water is =~ 155/t so that's almost 60 times less. 60 times 200 is about 12,000t for a mission for water.

Again... it needs to be based on tonnage, not material type (although Material Type should still factor in)

This, I'm afraid, will come as news to nobody. [sad]
