What's with this "Purchase" option?

I'm just a player. I am a LEP holder so won't be purchasing anything. And I am NOT a Steam person either. So why on earth, when I run the launcher, is the only option available to me "Purchase"? I just want to have my daily play session. What's happening?

Just close the launcher, wait a little and try again. When it happens it's usually not long.

OK - I'll try that, thanks. I know there is often a maintenance update on Thursdays but it would have to be a strange one if it is that for today so I would have expected an announcement. But saying "Purchase"? That's a new one. Thanks folks.

I have the same but not an LEP holder. I did just buy the Odyssey pre-order and now I get the 'Purchase' button on the launcher too. It worked fine before I bought the pre-order.

Mine goes from purchase to install. Would be good if the server status actually showed when it wasn't ok. It is pretty pointless having one on the launcher when it don't say anything other than ok

Try logging out of machine, seemed to work for me after entering new authentication code.

I think it happens when certain parts of the server network are down, rather than (just) the game servers themselves. For example (I'm making this up) if the authentication servers are down rather than just the game servers, the launcher won't know you even own the game. That sort of thing. That message does happen from time to time I think.
