What's wrong with being dead?

So the new NPCs got you again, eh. Well no worries, yet get to be reborn and you get a new ship. If you paid your insurance then it's just like the last one you had. Ok.. You lost some cargo, sorry for you my friend but you couldah traded in safe high security systems with no bother. Why take enormous risks then blame the enviroment. Why not rollerskate blindfolded, then sue the council for obejects they put in your way. The fact is NPCs killing your ship is a good thing, embrace it and learn from the experiance.

Try it when you loose two months of exploration data just as you hit the bubble after a trip to the core, then get back to us about how you embraced the experience :)

As a relative of my Great Uncle Vlad, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being dead...

Anson Dracula.

..
Yeah that would      me off
but I would get over it have you?
I guess I would be more careful next time when coming back from a long trip.

Never actually happened to me, I'll make the trip to the core sometime, but not yet.
If it did happen, I believe the air would be blue and I'd have to go for a little walk to calm down even if it is only a game.
.
I'm just saying that even if its your fault, which can be debatable with some of the bugs reported like the confirmed one where rail-guns could fire as fast as pulse lasers, it can understandably cause a little mild irritation.

However, when it's a bug you can post a ticket and get some compensation.

Change is never welcomed. Even if it's a positive change. People will adapt. In a couple of weeks all will be well again.

You'd get your ship credits back, but the exploration data is lost forever. That's why I used it as my example of something that would be more than 'Oh well, never mind' because you have lost weeks/months of effort, not just one sorties worth of bounties, or failed a few stacked jobs.

Dying in ED used to bother me - then again - it only happened 4 or 5 times in the last year but after being blown away 10 or so times last weekend it just kept getting easier and easier. It's almost a cathartic experience now. A chance to start over, fresh like after a long cold winter and the the grass spouts in all its most green glory. The humming birds sucking at the teat of newly bloomed flowers, the blue bunnies hopping around and admiring the pink skies with cotton candy clouds.

Yeah - that's the ticket. Let's go with that.

That's the spirit, well said.
