Whats wrong with the rings of the orbis stations?

Hello commanders,

is it just me, or sometime the rings of the orbis stations got invisible? I had this problem three times now. And this last time i crashed into the ring, i had no chance to avoid the crash because the ring got visible again to close. 70% ship dammage. Looks like a clipping issue. Mostly it happens at leaving the station.

Any ideas?

Or is the empire developing some kind of stealth devices for their stations?
