:D

Anyone who didn't like Tennant as the Doctor is simply doing it because they think it's cool to be "different". Judging by the rest of your choices you might also be 90 years old however, in which case they make sense. :D

T.V SHOWS 1=Battlestar Gallactica 2=stargate universe (the only one apart from the film i got into) 3=Firefly
FILMS 1=Avatar (Not really scfi in the sense but still) 2=Enders Game 3=Pitch Black and Sequels :)

Most posters seem to focus on TV series rather than movies. I'll do both:

TV Series
Firefly
Battlestar Galactica (new one)
Babylon 5 (although uneven, it still introduced the concept of a continuous story)

Movies
2001: A Space Odyssey
Gattaca
Solaris (the remake, too long since I saw the original to say anything about it)

There are others, but I just cannot remember them all at the moment. Her was a great movie as well.

Obviously "lost in space" :) Yer can keep yer special effects and explosions !

Always Leave 'Em Wanting More

FireFly is one of my favorites
Watching it right now on netflix actually lol, and it was what made me write this thread given that it was just one one season long. I CANT BELIEVE THEY CANCELED IT AFTER ONE SEASON(yes, its sad, but I am just now catching up to the mob)!!!!!!

You should really have added Firefly to the list of shows that are a given. Joss Whedon said in the "extras" bit of the box set, that he knew that the Fox executives hated it. He wrote each episode with as much effort as he could muster because he felt it might be his last.

Goodness knows what would have happened if the show wasn't cancelled. Maybe they would have repeated the same storylines again and again, and Firefly would have become stale.

Now, don't you just make me look silly lol

Firefly hands down. One of the reasons it stands out is that it was only one season, but when you watch all the TV episodes and then the movie you think about it and realize that the way it was done seems to be the way it was meant to be. The dialog was far and away the best of any SciFi series/movie. The Shepherd Book character had some of the best lines.

It's really a rare gem not likely to be matched in the remaining years I have left.
