Engineers What's your favourite Engineers 2.1 feature?

Mine's NPC voices - specifically the voices that guide you in and out of stations. Helps bring life to the game and I wish more was voiced - eg messages from NPCs. Love the voices!

Everything graphics related. Procedural rings, planets, combat etc. Flight control voice is awesome. One time the controller voice said 500 meters to my pad. I thought wow, gives nice sense of scale. AI of course! I haven't even touched engineers yet. This has been best patch ever. And this is good ground work for 2.2. All in all I was not so much hyped about engineer characters but didn't expect we get all this extra stuff also. Did I mention missiles that are worth using. I guess I can't say one best thing. :D

and yes, I'm easily pleased.

For the rest, too early to say.
 
Too early to say.. Loved the chatter briefly but as I'm out there in the Abyss, The graphics improvement so far on planets is much improved.

Pretty much everything but engineers, which i still have to evaluate thoroughly, for now i'm a bit worried about them.
 
Currently...the forum salt fest :p

I do love how USSs are less random now. You can scan them, the distance and speed you can drop in is influenced by local sources of gravity. I'm also loving that I actually have to pay attention now. The galaxy feels much more alive.

This, the salt fest is hilarious, the AI are not killer terminators. At least I haven't found any, the provide a decent challenge now, its no longer just fire and they die in front of you. But AI and Missions are at the top of the list of amazing stuff. The engineers themselves I will get to when I get there, don't NEED the mods, they just make things easier.

Exactly. The whining is ludicrous. Are people playing this game with their feet?
 
I like the station voices as well, and hope they will continue adding some in future updates, for example when we will get the ability to engage in a conversation with an NPC ship, and voiced greeting will be nice.

I also like the scanning USS feature, and the loot mechanics, it makes it both interesting and wortwhile to check them out now.

Missions also make more sense now, with the new presentation.

The engineers upgrades seem interesting, but I guess it will be hundreds of hours before I can have a fully upgraded ship ; I probably won't make engineers an objective, more like a "sidequest", by keeping an eye on required materials I need and collect some whenever I can until I unlock one of my desired upgrades. I definitely won't be minmaxing.

I guess you could say I quite like this update in general! I think the engineers feature will be more enjoyable in the future, when it is relegated to a side activity status, rather than the big obligatory feature it seems to be now.

Really like the new mission system(albeit a bit buggy still) and also the increased performance on planets.

Before the update the SRV gameplay stuttered on high settings, now I can smoothly play on ultra, while the graphics got better.

Overall there's not much I don't like about this new update.
