It struck me today that this game is capable of producing so many potent and memorable situations, depending on a player's choices within the scope of its framework, and these can lead to stories that stick with you.
Earlier today I was driving around a large Alien wreckage site, carrying a UA and a UP and making a bit of a meal of trying to activate the Unknown Machine. The UA/UP were steadily eating away at my modules as I vainly tried to retrieve an Unknown Link. I was desperate to finish the task before my systems failed completely. My shields were gone and life support was down to 6%. After finally getting my act together, I activated the machine, enjoyed the light show, received the transmissions, took back my UP and UL (as souvenirs) and barely made it back to my ship before my life support quit altogether.
After which, I sat back in the chair on my Python's command deck, breathed a sigh of relief and decided to plan my next move. Man, I love this game!
Which leads me to the question: what memorable, personal stories have you experienced so far in the PS4 Elite Dangerous universe?
